We have some but dont like cutting there nails ourselves in case we cut them to short.
What ruth does is she holds the bunny while her friend clips the claws, that way she can keep control of the buns legs (in a nice way i must add) while her friend concentrates on parting the fur and clipping the claws. dont cut too far down though.

They are i wouldnt have any other pet. Dont need to walk them, cheap to buy and keep, clean to have around. When i come home from work he always comes and finds me for a stroke and if i ignore him he will nip my leg to get my attention.

This is our bunny Billy. Not in our good books as she chewed through the sky power cable the other day. At least it wasn't the telly lead. Right little character. Kyle (my son) and the rabbit play really well together

Their are many ways in helping the cat come round, like interchanging the blanket they sleep on etc. Gets them used to one anothers scent.
Some cats won't care, my Cleo plays with the local fox and I reckon if he had his way, he'd been inviting said Fox over for tea.

Mine is the most fabulous Cat ever. He is so layed back, and nothing scares or bothers him. If a neighbour has his car door open long enough, he'll climb in. Then he'll be looking out the window for a response. He sleeps on top of the living room television and peaks his head down, as if he's watching it from above. And the best part is, his best friend is our family dog, and they eat, sleep and shit in the same place. Even follows the dog on his walks. You got pics of your Cleo?

Re cats and rabbits, think aslong as your cats are pretty good, and your rabbits of a simular size, you wont have to many issues,
Took this when we had a hot summer last, 2006 ish? All gone for a bit of shade
Saddly the rabbit ( bean ) has now gone, was just over 10years old tho.

Right, i am SERIOUSLY now thinking of getting a house bunny!
but i have a few questions for those that already have them!
1 - Where do they Sleep?
2 - Will i really have to have a cage for it, or will it be quite happy sleeping in a room under a chair or something if i buy it its own bed?
3 - Does the bunny have to have a buddy?
4 - What will i need to buy when i buy bunny? (Bunny bed, bunny toys, bunny food, bunny bowl, bunny tray, stuff to put in bunny tray, mini vac to suck up randon bunny poos... anything else?)
5 - Any other general advice?
Oh.. and im looking to get a Giant Continental.

2. Yes. They will chew wires and need to be kept an eye on
3. No. They will interact with you better on their own but if they are going to be on their own for a lot of the time a mate would be beneficial. With 2 bunnies make sure you get them done or you'll have dozens of them in no time
4. Cage, sawdust (if you have space go to an equestrian centre and get it as it's about Ł7.50 for a dirty great bale). Water bottle, you don't need a bowl as they shouldn't be fed too much dry food.
5. Keep them clean and muck the cage out every other day and they won't smell. Spend as much time as you can with them out and handle them to get them used to it. Keep your eyes on the claws and when they get older check their teeth as they can grow round and curl back meaning they can't eat.
Not sure if the giant bunnies need anything special but there must be websites dedicated to them. It would be worth registering to find out.

Cheers honey!Ive read a lot in to the car of giant bunnies, and from what i can gather the main difference is simply their lifespan!Do i have to use sawdust though?? Can i use some sort of straw??So i take it i cant really leave bunny out of his cage when i go out???It will normally only be on its own from about 10 am to about 3pmish... other than that it will be in my room with me!Is it better to get a girly or a boy?

Me and the mrs keep our bunnies in 2 separate cages.The cages are justy in the front room.We lock them away in there cages through the day when we are at work or when we are out.When we had Mr G he was on his own and he was very very close to me and Ruth.Then we got lola and the used to not get on at first then they were like best friends.Unfortanatly Mr G died then we got Bailey for a friend for Lola.They will chew a bit but our rabbits arnt as bad as they used to be.If you need any more help just let me know.They are good fun pets and they are funny as hell when they start to jump about and fling themselves all over lol.

Ours lives in the cellar doesnt have a cage just has a few bits of carpet and old sheets to get comfy on. When someone is home he comes up and has free roam of the house, i very occasionally come home and find him lay on my bed.
He mainly does all his poos in the litter tray in the living room he does rarely do one somewhere else but you can just pick them up.
I prefer having only one as then they seek you to play with rather than another rabbit.
