well we went and had a look at a giant continental on friday night, the breeder had about 25 rabbits of all different sizes and types, with quite a few giants!
Out of the litter of giant continentals (13!!!) she had 3 boys and a girl left, we had a good play with them all and decided on the biggest one! we promptly went home to decide where we would be keeping him and made a pen for him under the stairs on saturday morning, and we went and picked him up on saturday afternoon! He turned 11 weeks old yesterday!
brought him home in a cat box, and he was very scared and it took him about an hour to venture out for the first time into his new pen! we left him alone all night and he slept in the cat box, and we first got him out of his pen on sunday afternoon, at which time we removed the cat box and put his bed down with the blanket out of the cat box, and he seems to be settling down nicely! hes already found the stairs and has taken to jumping out the back of the open tread stairs 3 stairs up! so i need to box the stairs in now! which was on the plan anyway!
i will get some pics up when i sort my internet out at work as its playing up just now! but he is cute and has massive ears!!!

Cant wait to see pictures!!
They can take up to a month to really settle in and come out of their shells! But that is when you will really see his personality come out!!
Whats his name?

my birds grandad was called Harold and he had massive ears, which this bunny does as well, so i think we might go down that route!

The wooden pellets are fine honey... dont listen to everything everyone says!
just put a nice layer of tasty hay over the top, cos they like to sit and pee/poop and eat at the same time!
I use sawdust as its cheaper, with a thick layer of hay on top!

yeah he's got hay over his crapper! hes doing really well with his weeing, everything going in the tray!
the only thing thats slightly concerning me at the mo is that some of his shits are quite 'moist' and squishy, and some are hard and dry, im putting this down to him settling in, or should i be worrying about something else?
weve still no name, we just cant decide! god knows what is going to happen when we have children!
we are gonna book him into the vets soon as well to have his injections etc that he needS!
