sparking from the bellhousing

sparking from the bellhousing
right, got the escort running tonight and it runs perfectly until really high revs and then sparks apear from the bellhousing,
looks like an angle grinder is in there, and i dont know why,
doesn't do it till 7k+ revs!!
any ideas?!

no nothing!! thats whats really wierd.
nothing happens until about 7k revs, then looks like a catherine wheel in the bell housing

stop looking under your car while driving on high revs...
sorted.
does the same thing happen if you put the clutch in and just rev it to 7k while standing still?
I would suggest taking the gearbox out to have a look, you dont want a shattered flywheel at 7k rpms through your feet.

clutch aint given up. . Sparks were coming up on the left side of the carb. And if you look underneath you can see its lighting the whole lot up

have you fitted a new clutch? id be looking at popping the boxing out and looking to be sure what the problem is as you dont want sparks up near carb causing a fire
