Was waiting for that reply Porkie, the brakes seem to work realy well but know what you mean about the look. I may get the faces skimmed and them re coated to get rid of the writing.

Mate. BIN them! (I mean sell them really)

I will happily go half with you!!

I'm sure they work brilliantly. But its just soooo not 'kewl'

The rest of the car is soooo good.... they have gotta go!

Keep the discs though. VERY VERY good

Enjoy mate. The ONLY problem you are going to have.... is hating yourself for not getting out of the shonky Escos and doing this earlier!

Mind you... even thats not true anymore! as they have pretty much halved in value over last year!

So you have timed it perfectly in fact mate

Enjoy fella

Me too chops, BUT I've got the BBS LMs on the Boxster and I put them on the 996 just to see what they look like.... and they are like half the weight of the Techarts!! when you have them both together the weight difference is amazing!

The Techarts are made by BBS as well... not many people know that

Fair play then if the new ones are lighter. I am a big fan of the ones that are there now too tbh. In fact i'd be happy with steelies on the car if i could have a 911 turbo

LOVE IT - under no circumstances be talked into changing the wheels, they are the best ones IMO for the car and suit it perfectly. Techarts are for Pimps and homos .

Is mad that you can pick a 996 turbo up for 25k now ... I keep getting tempted but never really been into Porches .. Still can't decide if I really like them that much ..

Car looks nice though Neil, and won't be shy with 500Bhp

They wont be getting changed Mike however one will be getting repaired . The owner seemed a bit shocked when i called him in Saudi last night to use the damaged wheel and tire as a hagling point , as they were mint when he dropped the car off at the garage thats selling it for him . New 305/30/19 tire going on today and i have just sent an email to the polisher to sort out a repair to the wheel.

How old are you mate? I find you start to get into them as you get a bit older to be honest.

and you will NEVER ever look back!

well you would if you bought one for Ł25k mate as it will be more than likely be a leggy old money pit!

get a good one though and you will just wonder why you ever bothered with you know whats!

You are welcome to borrow mine if you are ever down this way. I never drive it. drove down to meet Maria on sunday and it was first time in 6-7 weeks I had driven it! Forgot how much fun it was!

A mates borrowing it to take a groom to his wedding in it tomorrow as it goes. Not sure how it will look with ribbons on!

Sly, crafty devious power. Very torquey from low rpm. They go around bends like on rails. Solid feel, very planted and stable. Give you loads of confidence and the traction is amazing.

I'm 28 now Lee, and starting to get a bit bored of the constant stress Cossies cause , People don't belive me when I tell them it would actually work out cheaper to run a car like a F360 or 996 turbo ....

Who knows, trouble is with cossies is they spoil you, I'm sure there are not many cars that are as quick/fun as your old 3 door? , but you do wonder sometimes if it would be better just to spend the ŁŁ on somthing not quite as fast and a bit more upmarket.

I keep toying with the idea of getting rid of the Escos and Sapphire, and pooling the cash into one car. I could prob stretch to 30k for somthing like a 996, or borrow some extra and get somthing like an F360, as they have dropped right off pricewise recently..

Great offer on the lend of the car , I wouldn't want to borrow it as if I damaged it I would be REALLY embarrassed, but if you wanted to take me for a blast in it that would be great ...

Or I'm thinking about getting rid of everything and buying a couple of rental propertys, but I recon another year or so to let the prices drop a bit more
