well thats why you do your tank training and wear full survival gear.

It crashed and everyone got out. No reason to be worried. still safer than driving.

The reports that we have are that they are traumatised and they are cold, but they are walking wounded – in other words there are no major injuries reported among any of the 18
all fine then!! look on the bright side, your trained for that type of disaster.

Sounds like it was heading to Etap i was up there last year around this time and wouldnt like to be in the water thats for sure. Its crazy the amount of times the choppers are late due to technical problems.

Not another Bristow chopper was it? Similar thing (crashing) happened a few years ago when the tail rotor was hit by lightening and due to the carbon fibre composite, it caused severe burning and fatigue and ultimately total failure of the tail rotor (it was left hanging on by the hydraulic pipes ). The pilot managed to put it down in the sea without it sinking and everyone was deployed onto a liferaft and survived with nothing more than shock and a touch of hypothermia

Great news glad the boys are ok, i'm sitting waiting on my chopper right now, i'm in angola though so i dont have the decent fkn pilots anymore!! The pilots in the north sea are the best in the world, the ones in nigeria wouldnt fly in the rain! or the dark!! No joke.....Over here they really dont have a fkn clue...
