Mk1 1600i Ghia for me please in black or maybe grey,I wouldnt be ashamed palking that next to my Sapp .You cant say "I owned one and it was shit" its pointless. Some ex cosworth owners say as they are shit but they still have another. My old man must have owned at least more than ten of every mk and model of Orion in the past when they were mainstream cars.3i with a boot or in your case it will be a 3 lol.

well, i now own an Orion!
Its ace, love it, drives really well, goes better than my van, its far from the cleanest, but i wasn't expecting a minter!
Engine bay is good, sills have had weld, arches could do with a bit of atention and the boots got a nasty dent, genuine 66k but not bad for £350!

i have just bought a minted a reg mk1 ghia i,in metallic green,i love it,its too softly sprung so i have some new -60mm springs and a s1 arb for it,just need a set of mondeo cosworth style whels and thats it sorted.i have a 2wd cosworth aswell so they are a nice pair of saloons to have.orions are ace,a 3i with a boot with more toys inside, even the light round the mirror on the sunvisor works!

I can see this thread going the same way as the previous Orion one!

Each to their own lads! I love my Orion (even though I hate it for being off the road for nearly 3 months now and not being able to figure out what's wrong with it!) but I wouldn't swap it.

Nearly sold it last year, but really glad I kept hold of it now

wong - get some 16's, lower it a bit and some back-to-black on the bumpers and it will look a million times better

I am in a wheel dilema at the mo!
Those 14's are naff, so they have to go.
I have 17's on my van, but personally, i think they look too big on them, and i have a set of 15" hockenheim R's, which i think might just work! what do you boys think? dont want to go out and buy wheels, as the cossie is eating a load of cash at the moment!

also, smudge, any lower and it wont move, its on the friggin deck!
Have just stone chipped all the bits that where black, bit more protection (and to hide the rust! lmao) and given it a wash, and put the k & n on that came with it!
Got to wait till next weekend till i drive it though, no point taxing it now.

i am thinking hocks, i did slap a tyre on one at work today, but forgot to take it home to try!
Not sure what the offset will be like, apparently they came off a 406, but the offset was miles off for my 205!

Its already lowered 60mm, tried the hocks ont oday, they looks all wrong, offset is nowhere near, going to have to be mondeo rims!

Anyway, gave it a clean, oil change and spark plugs, here's a few better pics!

do they really make them worse?
I never see the logic in this, its getting more air, no more fuel though!

It seems fairly good on juice, if it will be better without the k&n its coming off
