Don't do it! I had one for 3 days, i hated it from the second I opened the box. Without doubt the most horrible phone to use, the touch/click screen is terrible! Battery life was about 10 hours and I couldn't get a signal anywhere. When I spoke to vodafone, they said that battery life and wek signal is a known fault, and she wasn't surprised I wanted a different phone!
Got an N96 now, never looked back

Ive got an orange HTC.
The I-phone is a great lifestyle accessory, but its a SHIT phone IMHO
Did my head in that i couldnt send MMS natively, that I couldnt type on it as fast as the keyboard isnt physical keys so you have to look at it when you type on it not touch type, and I dont like the fact that when the battery went flat, it had to be reconnected to i-tunes to work again not just charged.
They do all the stuff that doesnt really matter to me, REALLY well, and all the basics, they just arent very good at.
And not being able to bluetooth stuff to people is a bit shit too.

My opinion too.
Installed google maps etc, ie all the things that the I-phone does well, and now mine is spot on for what I want from it really.
Shame cause as a piece of technology (im a nerd dont forget, lol) I really do LOVE the I-phone in loads of ways, just its just a shit phone and I dont love it enough to put up with that side of things.

Funny, my iphone has a number of those features. Video, gps (lame software), bluetooth etc.
A stone doesn't have an accelerometer either. My iphone calculates lateral G and crude bhp with Dynolicious.

I cant see the point of having an iphone and not being on the iphone tariff TBH.
You just end up with a phone thats shit as a phone, and also that now doesnt have all the cool data stuff.![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
All the stuff like seamlessly using the cloud network without validation etc, is the only good reason to have one really.

On my mates iPhone, when I was in mcdonalds, it just connected to the internet through their WiFi automatically, when I use my HTC in there, I have to go through all the agro with signing in etc each time.
As far as im aware from what he said this is linked together with the tarriff, but maybe I misunderstood him.
