Default ARGH. Taking screen grabs of Mpegs....



I reaaaaly need to take a screengrab of a mpeg movie (its actually a dyno graph for a car) but i cant, just shows a black screen

Ive tried with really old media players as well as newest windows media player, and no joy and its really fucking me off.

Anyone know a way that works, the older media players usualy let me do it, but not tihs time

eh dunno, why don't you use the Print Screen function and photoshop it (Alt+Prt Sc)


might be some sort of protection

Thats what im doing mate But coming up as just a blank screen.

BTW it dont seem to matter if you press prntscrn without alt (or ctrl that some people say), i never have n it normally is fine, not this bloody time tho!

it will always come up blank, u need to use a video editing program and extract a still. Pissed me off too.

afaik powerdvd allows you to capture a screen shot, so no reason why that wouldn't work

yeah its some really wierd way videos render or summat stops piracy or some shit.

winDVD can do it, as can a few others....do a search on google, loads of people have sites about it

Its worked on PowerDVD....

Tho the quality isnt that good for some reason

To do it in windows media player, lower the video acceleration , tools -> options -> performance
