i recently bought a xr2i for parts for my rst. now the seats in it are recaro's but they centre part of the trim matches the xr2i pattern.

now ive read somewhere that some xr2i's had recaro seats fitted as optional extra's . is there any way of telling that they are defo the xr2i recaro's

They are mate, the piping is the main difference, and the mountings are different to the erst ones.

Not many sets about compare to there turbo ones.

And they have a pocket at the rear for magazines etc....

edit- they do have the rear pocket and its cloth

They will be quite rare as, if I am right they were fitted to a limited run of silver 8v XR2i's before the change over to the 16v model. As for price.... its what someone will want to pay for them.

these were fitted to the rs 1800 aswell

the differences are the piping
and the grey outers are of a cord type material

i sold a set last year i think they made Ł125 plus posting

Were they? Are ya sure about that? The only RS1800 recaros I have seen were the darker colour Raven? material which had a blue and red stripe through them...... the same material as is fitted to the XR2i 16v interior....

ah yea I forgot about the map pockets.

I've got a pair of them, to be honest I dont think there worth more than any other of the recaro's. I bet the best place to find out would be fiestaturbo.com

Got lumbar support things with mine, i dont know if there part of the special addition or common as rust tho.
