I have only ever ordered parts off them and they turned up very quick and well wrapped.

Same opinion as everyone else, good service. Don't know anyone that's actually had anything done to their car by them though...

Yeah it seems that for ordering parts they are every good. The reason I ask is I had them do some work to my car and I was really unhappy. Felt they took advantage of me and pushed me into buying something I didn't want. Thought that I should see what others thought because maybe it was a one off, or maybe even it was me in the wrong.

Well unless they put you in a headlock, I doubt you didn't put up a fight, you wanted it really. But if it makes your car faster in a raliable way, then who cares

What did you get anyway?

Yeah they got me in a full nelson! Before I went there I said that I would want one of their racing cats because thought my manifold was blowing and told them I would be travelling 300 miles to get there. Was also having them try and find out why my boost was dropping off. Had already been to a few mechanics who all told me different things. When I got there they said yeah you need a new manifold but we sold the last one yesterday (cheers). They offered me a 2nd hand standard RS cat for Ł400 and said they nearly Ł1000 new so I getting a bargain. Said would they fit a de-cat and they said no because they're 'against the law' so asked if the could supply one and I would take it to an exhaust fitters nearby to fit it. They said they wouldn't supply one either so really didn't give me much of a choice given I had donr 300 miles to get there. Hence was as good as a full nelson. They said changing the Manifold would fix the boost problem and they took it out for drive and said they had checked it and was fixed. Got in the car and was the same. Puma BUild then saw it was a hose at the back of the engine bay that was split. Story goes on...

GGR charged me 23k for a 460bhp 8inj/T4 motor inc a thickwall ATB diff and wankybarrow Quaife gearkit. Car went like a rocket and the service was second to none but in hindsight I wish I'd chucked my money at Turbosystems.

Wow I'm shocked
I always found Alistair Mayne spot on but Graham always came over as a bit of a donkey (). This was back in 1993 so it sounds like their standards have slipped.

Thats the thing, on the phone they were great and they seemed really nice when I got there. When I said to him that Ford told me the manifold did not cost anywhere near that amount and that I felt he had overcharged me he flipped and totally turned.

Alway's been spot on for me and my car has always gone there (for the last 12 year's or so).

Alister Mayne is a top guy and also very helpful over the phone too should you ever have anything play up, as is to be expected from time to time with a Cosworth.

You pay for what you get i suppose realy, but what is worth bearing in mind is that they were ther at the begining of the Cosworth era and they will be there at the end too no doubt.

So a BIG from me

In the words of the hokey cokey; you lift your right leg up, and aim between the legs. You'll then see him turn. Benni.

I have only ever bought parts form them, on those ocassions the service has been good, I have heard that they do charge mega bucks for engine builds though,

As said above 17k for a build on an escos with no transmission parts kin hell thats a lot of cash

GGR have been great with parts and advice for my 3dr racecar. Graham has been full of advice which he remembers from his racing days and car prep. He has even let me look for a couple of hours over the last of his touring cars for hints and tips. Darren in parts is very helpful and knowledgeable and will go out of his way to help you out. They may be expensive but the parts are all OEM quality.

I have bought some parts off them for my Fez, very impressed, knowledgable, expensive but high quality.

I will just say when I get hold of a Cossie I will be looking to get some parts off them.

Aside from that, look at their website, there is stacks of information on Cossies and the like on there. Massive parts catalogue.

Has anyone got their tuning packages, 280 or 330 variants I believe???
