I've not seen the story and not sure how much scope they have to change menus etc, but I imagine it would be a decision by a single manager/owner in a specific store

my local fish and chip shop doesnt sell ham either, nor does the chinese restaurant, so if I want ham I go somewhere that does sell it, whats the problem?

im guessing that as no one starts a business wanting it to fail that theyve worked out theres a demand for such a shop in that area? if theres a demand then itll sell. if there isnt itll close down soon enough.

Not being bad but this is getting quite stupid. Majority of Southall's take aways including subway and maccy d's are halal. I personally think this is getting out of hand. I mean i eat anything and i'm from a sikh faith. However, if a Sikh person in southall wanted chicken its pretty damn hard to find a place here that ain't Halal.

they aint changing YOUR life though, they are selling Halal food ffs,,, its a business simple as
i dont eat pork and i was given a good hint about eating in cafes to avoid the bacon taste in my sandwiches, i now eat scrambled egg sandwich and get the taste of egg and not nasty bacon !!!
ps: i aint muslim just dont like bacon
pps: halal meat is more than just no eating pork, all the animals are blessed as a sacrifice and tbh they tend to have better meat than the local tescos shite, try it and see of you notice the difference !
i was against halal,, then i noticed the difference between the 2 butchers and its HONESTLY better meat

its part of the new pakistan, just with a brummie twang
so i for 1, as a dweller of birmingham, can happily say let them get on with it, id be chuffed much more to buy a pizza locally and survive past the 1st slice without mutliple gunshot/stab wounds
