Will an original gameboy non colour game play on any other system? like gameboy colour etc

yes but only the color games .... think the gameboy advance thingy had other game layout

Yes, original games and colour games play on all gameboys up to Advance SP and micro, but not the DS.
(So I'm informed..lol)

the advance and ds play the older games i'm sure the colour could also play the original games aswell as i'm sure they where all backwards compatible

the reason i dont think the advance games fits as i remember that

they are 2 small to fit... and they are wider

yes, and as i understand it as i did not care to read the "ect" it was all about original gameboy games on color, but anyhow...
