Default brake fitting size probs

Went a bought some braided brake hose today and fittings, took the old ford rubber flexi with me and showed the bloke he said its 3/8 i need so thats what i got, come home made them all up and when fitting to the car and connecting to the original ford females its not pulling up straight and leaking, also feels wobbly when screwing the fittings into the callipers, has he given me the wrong thread or size, ive looked about and seen a comment that someone made saying ford rs turbo oe stuff is 10x1, so is this what i need ??

it can only be 3/8 or m10,

all my pug calipers are m10, and my mc's are 3/8

as the m10's are cheapjust change the ends (assuming you have customable brake lines)

yeah i made them up myslef, the fittings are similar to goodridge fuel hose with aeroquip fittings, just wanted to know that the problem is the fittings, hopefully should be 10x1 rather than 3/8, am i right in thinking 10x1 is slightly bigger

Cheers mate this must be where the problem lies, just measured the thread of the 3/8 fitting with some digital callipers and it was 9.30mm and the original ford stuff measures 9.80mm so 10x1 has a slightly bigger diamater then
