Default Weather on the M5, M6, A74 & A82/ A9?

As title, anyone in the above areas know what the weather is like?

Got a 580 odd mile drive tonight, leaving Somerset around midnight, to get up to Inverness area tomorrow around 8 latest.

Anyone know what the weather or roads are like at the moment? Had the TV on for a bit for local news, but would appreciate anyone that actually knows adding their input

Thank you
Si

Enough to be a problem out on the M6? I don't want to be stuck in the car overnight or any of that crap!

It is 4*4 and I do have a lot of warm kit and sleeping bags etc, but deffo don't want to get stuck anywhere!

A9 at Drumochter summit is usualy the worst part of the Perth to Inverness road for weather - its usually well serviced though!

Now snowing at home

I think my journey is doomed!

Got to be out of here by 12 midnight, and in sunny Scotland for 8.30.

High speed and snow, great.

hot food and water, blankets, a shovel, a mountain goat, an M60 machine gun, BA barracus, some pegs, and some sticky back plastic

i would like to say its gettin nicer up here by J7 M6, but it really isnt, still snowing sideways

Made it up as far as just north of Gloucester, single lane open, 30 mph behind a massive line of trucks.

I gave up and headed home, just got in Guess as I said, the journey was doomed.

Even with 4wd, as I left the exit on the motorway, and turned back on myself on the overhead roundabout, I could barely move.

What a frikin nightmare. Bang goes my Snowboarding and climbing and rallying trip to Scotland :w all::wal l: :w all::wal l: :w all::wal l: :w all::wal l: :w all:

Had way to much to do, so leaving at the last minute was the only option. Wish I had gone earlier, but just no time to do so.

Off to look at the car now, front bumper did not agree with the snow on the slip road
