people keep saying about gaming but what exactly is the difference? all the top games are on both consoles with just a few 360 only titles and vice versa...I don't get it?

Got both and going to be selling my Elite as I never use it.
I wont be getting into the never ending argument about what's best. They both have plus points but for me I do prefer the PS3 for many reasons.

i own a PS3 and my old housemate had a 360 and I couldn't tell any difference
one more game I forgot about that I bought for so I could play on my mates 360 was dead rising...whacking golf balls at zombies never gets old

got to hand it to microsoft imo, they are doing a blinding job to sell the old stock, and they secured hundreds of jobs at ups couriers aswell....they need an award i think

i use all the features on the ps3 because i can

10years ago the 360, would have been fantastic, but it doesnt cut it these days, its time is over, the ps3 is getting stronger and stronger.
thats why the 360, is so cheap...its old news...old software, outdated.
even today weve only seen a small amount of what the ps3 can do, its evolving fast!
the only reason xboxers dont mention blue ray is because they dont have it, lol..and to get it they have to spend more than there 360, cost

With regards cost, the fact that sonys platform includes a drive which is already a dying platform (re video on demand) it pushes the price through the roof.
The 360 is cheap because it was designed with cost in mind and Microsoft are selling so many of them they can reduce due to economy of scale.
Major publishers are leading with 360 development because the PS3 is a bitch to program.
Multi platform 360 titles outsell PS3 titles a significant factor (re GTA)
Sony has had to create the impression its the most powerful console to try and leverage the fact it IS the most expensive. The 360 is everybit as powerful or even slihtly more with the execption of floating point math, and anyone who knows anything about games knows fp perf isnt that much of a big deal.
Sorry but Sony are loosing significant market share and it will continue to the next generation. Microsoft have taken this round. Sony are in damage limitation strategy now, sorry.
Enjoy what you have games are games. I know Ill continue to game on the 360 whilst my PS3 and Wii continue to gather dust.

xbox and microsoft have spanked sony and the ps3 with out doubt. ps3 is good as a all rounder and wins in that respect but the xbox PISSES all over it as a games machine and deffo with the online gaming.

Well I got one! Came with Lego Indiana jones, kungfu panda and fable 2
Will be looking for a good shoot em up (call of duty?) and will have to get it online, are there cheaper alternatives to the 60 quid wireless adapter?

personally i just couldnt go over to a PS3 from an xbox cos the controller just doesnt feel right. iv never managed to play a driving game on a PS of any generation without using the d-pad, the left thumbstick just isnt in a good position, whereas the xbox controller just feels better for use
other than that, if u put eiher infront of me id happily play either, the games look identical, and they play through identical
oh, and for the people who have to question the cost of xbox LIVE, the prices are set for reduction this year, as lots of stores in the USA have already started selling it for less than the RRP

Both consoles are selling and considering the ps3 is alot more that must show the ps3 is in a better position. I think the old ROD problem with the 360 put alot of people off and the popularity of the ps1 & ps2 has helped sell the ps3 too.
Like i said, i got both - ive been thinking of selling one - but tbh i use them both just as much as each other.

only other option is a f'kin long ethernet cable , but i hate wires myself so got the adapter !
Rainbow6 vegas 2 is the best online shootem up imo , to much goin on in cod for me , r6 is alot more sniperish and the actual game itself is alot longer than cod 4,
as said Grid is such a laugh online

Yes, Westy that's why you lot and Sidewayz keep crying about the Ł28 cost of a years Xbox live ^^. Cheap all in one box but gets owned by 360 for the thing its meant to do. All the top games played more on-line with a 360.

PS3 has alot more power than the xbox, its just Sony hasn't shown it any of its games yet, you wait till the big games like GT5 etc come around your be amazed!

thats wot i was sayin b4 , IF there is soo much more potential why are sony draggin there heels unleashing it ? software probs?? must be losing potential custom not movin things on a bit , im not that blinded by the xbox and do believe that the ps3 will be better if the full potential is met !! after all its newer but at the mo its no better apart from add ons like the blue ray etc !

Why when is Microsoft's new console out? Must admit Sony will have to do something special to get me back as its just that good on-line. Sega was great once look what happened to that and with Microsoft's backing........
*On a side note has anyone on here be it Xbox or Ps3 got one of those Turtle beach headphone units? I have one on order its pricey but you can hear people on COD with dead silence sneaking up apparently???
