The fact that I've never seen one that does.

Even seen a white one that didn't match.

Your right. Even though the colour may be a match it just doesn't seem to lay the same on the car as it when it was put on at the factory. The garage I ordered the rs from said they had an orange demo car a while back that had a small ding on the drivers door and they had to paint the whole side. Maybe its the pearl effect that doesn't match well.

Dead chuffed the first batch is now being built at long last!

So I'd say it's a more complete package than the RS. It's ready to be tracked.
If I wanted a fast road car, there would be at least 4 things in that list that I WOULDN'T want!

From what iv seen and been told peal paint is a royal pain in the arse as there are so many layers of paint/pearl etc to put on.
One extra spay out could make the paint to dark and if not enough then could mean its to light, also paint colour seems to look diffrent on plastic i.e bumpers compared to metal panels.

i wasnt having a dig or anything mate incase you thought it came across that way, i was just wondering what your reason was.

some people want a car to fit friends and family in, roll cage and 2 bucket seats and harnesses make that kind of shit so not necessarily the best overall package. both are nice motors but if i was buying a new car for that much id want it to be usable

none of the ford bumpers match the cars and aint for the last 3 years !!!,its cause they are sprayed in different countrys !!!

the only time ive seen a focus ST paint match was the one that "fell" off the transporter and totalled the front bumper , the rest all was proper miss matched

That prototype RS will be on normal road tyres (and as previously stated maybe not even the full 300 horses). I'm sure Ford were intending on using road legal slicks when attempting to break the R26.Rs record attempt anyway.

Considdering i'd like the opportunity to go for a drive with more than just one friend, i know what car i'd rather have, and thats the car that will be sitting on my drive in the next month.

As a writer from a magazine said, is you want the best family hot hatch, get the Focus RS. If you want the best drivers car, don't have friends.

By the way for any mongs that compare the RS with the R26R without being objective.....the R26R has road legal slicks and the RS has normal road tyres...... BIG difference

i also note that everyone is over looking the road tax you will have to pay for the new rs!well thats one reason it would put my off paying 400+a year for taxing the bloody thing leg alone fuel and running costs

Thats not correct. The road tax is Ł265 (taken directly from the order form). I think the fuel economy will be relative to how its driven. If you use the horses they need to be fed. Anyway, we're not here for a long time so may as well have a good time!!

No i'm just pointing out how unobjective you're being. EVO couldnt pick between them in terms of speed, one a fully trimmed car on road tyres and one a lightweifhgt stripped out car on road legal slicks. What does that tell you when you take your head out of your ass?

in that vid or the megane and rs on the ring the focus had clearly slowed down for what ever reason... so to say the megane tears past it it realy doesnt...

who says the megane hasnt been tuned more than standerd? and that focus rs looks like the prototype rs which had 4wd what was spotted at the ring last year... meaning it was no faster than a st just with the added weight of 4wd which was why ford went back to try fwd to give it MORE than the st

cossiebags i realy think ur chatting out of ur anus tbh, yes theres alot of ford fans on here who will stick up for the rs but we all know it has its problems (lack of 4wd) so if your arguement was valid most of us would agree there are better cars out there but the fact is ur arguement is shite based on a TEST run round the nurburgring?? hardly a lab test is it...

Fuck me, have you had your hea dup your ass for the last two months? Have you read the reviews or seen the tv reviews.

To quote Jason Plato ( a guy who knows about driving unlike a certain dribbling mong i can mention )

Probably the best 'hyper- hatch' in the world.

please tell me how 4wd affects lateral grip in a corner please, 4wd 'may' help with traction out of a corner but wont make it grip more

why what was wrong with it in the corners on that vid? it wasnt under/over steering in anyway so how can you argue that it was/wasnt 4wd

imo uve got urself into a arguement based on NO hard facts and youve dug yourself into a hole you cannot get out of so your not chatting as much shite as possible to win ur case

even ford said the reason they DIDNT use the 4wd system was because even with 280bhp the extra weight of the 4wd system was to much to make it worth while, it just made it as fast as a st with more grip... which will explain why it wasnt to rapid... not that it was at full chat when it was over taken..

im not intrested in ur name calling to win arguements it just shows you dont know what your going on about... there are alot more educated people on here than you so you can keep on arguin with everyone and im just gonna sit here laughn at you
