Default BMX project

Hi, im thinking of building my own custom BMX, i have an old BMX that i was thinking of using for most parts other than the frame, i have seen a frame online but have thought of my parts not fitting and then have to buy all new parts. So overall i am asking whether the parts i have would or have a good change of fitting on a new frame.

Also i am struggling to remove the pedals etc. and im worried that when i remove the system from the frame it will all end up in an oily mess on the garage floor, is this the case?

The bike i have is a Magna and the frame i may be buying is a Ruption LX.

Any help would be appreciated, Cheers Adam.

I've just finnished building one, got a Standard STA 500 frame of ebay for Ł90.00, bloody bargin considering they're guarenteed for lift. Standard forks, profile cranks just need some decent wheels as i've got shitty ones at the moment.

I wouldn't build a bike using a ruption frame if you want to do any kind of street/park riding on it. If just to roll about on then far enough.

Re pedels they normally screw in the oposite way that you think they would. Crank bearings depend on type, some are self contained and some have a case and individual bearings. Are they 3pc or 1 pc?

This complete bike on ebay looks good http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volume-hellion...1%7C240%3A1318

Theres some dirt tracks near me so i was thinking of using it for that sort of thing etc
