The problem here is all the northern monkeys that have moved down to us for a better quality of life , clogging our roads up! and as we all know , you cant drive for shit! its just safer to stay off the roads till you all crash into each other

I think not. No immigrants are qualified for our jobs down here! Still, most immigrants should be qualified to deep fry a mars bar so shall we send them up your way?

About 80% absense at our place, but most folk are setup to work from home anyway so doesnt really matter if they come in or not.
Im working on an urgent project at the moment, so came in yesterday and then worked through the night as well, properly ahead of schedule now, so once thats finished Ive done my weeks work anyway so going to just start my holiday early as ive got next week booked off anyway.

our roads are horrific, we used a merc g wagon to get about and to be honest even that shouldnt be ont he road, sliding all over the place, did manage to tap the curb a few times
anyone with a normal car wouldnt have a chance getting anywere, theres cars abandoned all over the place its like some mad movie scene

Yeah its mental the number of abandoned cars on some of the routes Ive been down in the last couple of days.
Makes it a real hazzard cause if you do slide off anywere it means instead of tapping a kerb or just sliding a bit, you hit metalwork with someone.
Obviously not a problem up north, as so few of them can afford cars in the first place so traffic volumes are much lower.

Team HOTHOT!
Fine here for me, took a while to get home last night from Leeds mind
But on a positive note, I did cost Northern Rail over Ł11,000 in delay fines yesterday on one small trip from Leeds to Selby - it caused:
23 delayed trains (freight and other companies)
1 cancellation
1 part cancellation
385 delay mins
I'm quite proud of that one
But fuck me, its a long way at 20mph from Garforth (just outside of Leeds) to Selby - 40 mins late arriving

Team HOTHOT!
Yup
That 11k doesn't include the 1 full cancelation (it was a TPE service) so that will be another 1k or thereabouts
All "invisible" money tho you understand - just something for the bean counters to moan at

20K+ Super Poster.
I was pissed that the local school sent my lad home yesterday at 2pm, when they normally finish at 3:15, "due to the weather", the roads had all cleared up since the morning and all the snow melted, the two other schools didn't only the high school, roads were pretty clear, just icy in the morning.
This morning witnessed a van slide at a give way and plough into a young girls corsa, was like a skating rink at the + roads, even the wpc slipped on here arse!!
tabetha

Lol, I live in the south and had no problem going to work. Got up at 6, got in the van at 7, was in work by 8 - no problem, so sweat.....
I was out and about in it all day long, driving here, driving there, got home in half an hour - I don't see what the fuss is about
It's only cos some people seem to have a complete inability to understand how to drive in the snow! They try to drive and think the way to get a car to gain momentum is to press the accelorater(sp) some more - resulting in wheel spinning and snaking over the road. We got a guy at work that claims he was stuck at every job he went to and one job tok him 25mins to get away from the kerb
