Smile Ford Transit 90 Help

Hi I own as in title, a 04 ford transit 90 lwb rwd crew cab. I recently sold my last 135bph version and got a 90. Big mistake, I was wandering if there are any methods of making these quicker, without taking the reliabilty away. I have seen the cheap resistors on ebay, but not too sure on them.

Anyone point me in the right direction

Thanks Pill x

Ł5.99 resister "chip" is useless - not even worth the postage let alone the product.

Your best option is the first reply by Lloyd - Not only are they a reputable dealer, they offer lifetime warranty and support on their product aswell so you are garanteed not to have any problems

Out of interest, sounds stupid but how do the 90 and 135 compare to each other? A lot quicker of just a bit quicker etc??? Better MPG?

try an early 350. they did them in 75hp guise with no intercooler
90's are ok as long as you don't load them up to much. jcb have a fleet of 90's and with all there crap in the back they really struggle up some of the hills.
i don't like 135's as the clutch feel is either on or off and so is the throttle.
my personal fave is the 125 di's such a nicer drive than the 135's imho.

i do have a soft spot for the 125 aswell! it's a very user friendly vehicle! but the 135 is more of a animal unloaded, in the wet in the form of a pannal van! be very afraid!

however, if the turbo isn't working right it's like driving into a brick wall at 3krpm, where it starts to boost then the actuater sticks and it goes into limp mode. check the wastegate actuater is moving, it should move with a little force. be carful it'll be hot so do it cold.

if your unsure best take it to ford or somewhere to be double checked.

my mate used to have a bluefin chip on his transit van it did make a difference. his work had several vans the same and there was never much in it when u used to race each other but after he put the chip on u could tell the difference when having a play with the other vans.
