After looking for a while for the right car i picked this up the other day.
I had been looking for a BMW with less then 100k with history, they are like rocking horse shit. Found a few M3's that were nice but didnt tick all the boxes.
In the end i settled on this 328i Cab with all the right bits on, well under 100k and history to back it up. SUPERB condition![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
Full M3 kit, leather, mint power hood, 19 AC Snitzer wheels and trim in the car. ect ect ect
What you think peeps![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Very very nice and the rims too! A mate of a mate had the coupe version and it certainly had plenty of balls and had the same rims as yours (split piece). Lovely car mate but not keen on rear lights personally.

I looked at a few M3's and they were just nails..........i wanted something with less than 100k on the clock and there just isnt anything that i liked for what they were asking.....
So i have saved myself a few quid, got what i am happy with and i am not pretending its an M3 as it has the 328 badges on it.......

She looks good in the day light ha ha.
- Extract from OFFICIAL BUYING CAR RULES
Rule 1 - You must, under no circumstances ever, espcially if the car price seems too good to be true, what so ever , never ever ever.... buy a car in the dark- especially from Nottingham.
Glad its as good as it looked last night mate... very impressive bit of kit- looks good on the wheels without being tacky.

Nicked from e36coupe.com.![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
Here's a very quick way to check for a nikasil block:
You need to look into the engine bay, from the passengers side of the car, and down the side of the engine toward the middle of the engine where the cylinder head meets the block.
The metal tab you are looking for will be on the face of the block casting that is facing sort of upwards towards you, just along from where the gearbox meets the block (easy to see my nice shiny, new....damned expensive, gearbox on the right of the pic below!
)
To help you get your bearings a bit, the black metal support bar you see running from top to bottom across the picture, is the metal support bracket that fits unt underneath the inlet manifold/throttle body area.
A nice SAFE Alusil: block will have the little metal tab on, as ringed in the picture below:

A larger picture is here
If you can't see the metal tab pictured above, then the engine block is NIKASIL and has not been replaced with the Alusil one.....yet!![](http://www.bmwowner.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
and will look like this:
![](http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/shareID4349910/fileID202193192/Nikasil.jpg)
To confirm what block the car has fitted, the best thing to to is to ring the BMW dealer(s) where it has been serviced and give them the chassis number. They should have on their system if the block is Nikasil or replaced with the Alusil - because they should keep a record of if and when it has been replaced.
This check is very handy if you are looking at a car you want to buy, and can't contact a dealer straight away.
Always ring the dealer to confirm this check though.
