Lol,looks like fun.If you are altering, one tip if you dont know. When joining, solder do not crimp. When i used to make looms for anything automotive we were never allowed to use connectors.
Strange as i thought soldering allways weakend the wiring or is that just for doing stereo work ???

I have already cut out the clifford and re soldered the wires
Just need to get rid of all the bullet connectors, had a count and there is a good 20+
SOldering is like any other job, its only good if done properly.
Soldering is always the best option in all circumstances for longevity.
However, it takes loads of practice to get right and you must use the right grade of solder at the right temperature on clean wire ends that has been cut and trimmed properly.

Its all about resistance too with joints. Not meaning to do this
It was my job for 14yrs making looms for aerospace military and commercial stuff and training agency or existing employees on new jobs. From small stuff using a microscope to big things. You should try soldering the connectors to make tank battery leads lol.

I want to do that with my full car and cosworth loom as i dont have any wiring diagrams for the link so its test and find out as i go along at moment.
It all works so im leaving it alone till i strip out interior when access will be easier.

I took it out really to make the painters job easer, also wanted to cut out the small turbo loom.
When l saw sean old cossie he had the loom that goes in front of the blower relocated inside so you can remove that plastic bulkhead panel, so thats what im going to do with YUM
i love it when i got a wiring loom in a big heap like that
gets the brain switched on figuring it out
you get a nice sence of achievement when it all goes back together and works
defo solder all the joints

fair enough dave!! Mines got 2 fuse boxes and a complete set of relays to run engine loom of cossie lump and all the old relays to run the old puma lump where as id have wired it in so cossie loom uses original relays to simplify things. plus i want to strip out all the excessive stero wiring etc

2wd's work too but the 4x4 is tidier
couple relays, an ecu and about 5 wires
no need for fuse box's or masses of wires to get a yb running
very simple to wire up

Ive done something similar recently, i pulled the full car loom out of my nova to make a new one then make a new ecu/engine loom up seperate to that all with new fuses/relay boxes, power distribution boxes etc.... do away with wires that aren't needed just like yourself.
Half way through and the headaches have started, lol. I knew i shouldn't have butched the old loom to get it out quick.
