well, just before i took my escort off the road, i was speaking to some of the spec one boys up brum 1 saturday night, seemed a nice bunch, well versed in all things ford. they seemed really interested in my car and showed a keen interest, i assumed for future help in sourcing parts/help

over next few weeks i notice a red S2 with spec one stickers drive past a few too many times, my road doesnt lead anywhere useful, n the car just drove up n then back.

few weeks after we start stripping my car and working with the garage door open, same car mooches past now n then, nice n slow. all too regular

we start working with garage door shut from then on. but 1 night we hear car blatantly park across my drive. we open garage, car blasts off. another night of work, and we hear sumthin big park up and 4 doors close, open garage door and 4 hooded up guys stop, turn around half way across my drive and rush bk to pick up and drive away. following week a car sits 20yards up from my drive for goin on 3 hours, i phone a few mates to come down n have a look, they pull up n approach the car, they blast off

1 night i come home n the usual RS turbo isnt just driving past, its parked up next to my drive with a van in tow, n the van owner is at my garage door. i screech into my drive, they try and calmy move along, i follow the rs turbo, it suddenly plants it, i keep up, enter a cul de sac in a shit hole part of brum............he pulls up with 4 other RS's, all spec one stickered

could just be a minority ruining the reputation for the majority, but adding my experience to the stories iv heard, and if my rs turbo ever went missing, i know which rs turbo owner id go looking for

luckily i havent seen any of the RS turbos or their owners on any of the midlands forums, so no problem there

that is shit rsandy you should start stalking his cars and see how he likes it, it would atleast put the wind up him and he'd be looking over his shoulder for ages,

well i got pointed to fordtourque.co.uk i went for my first time to there meet over aldridge way and it was ok they where a good bunch no robbing going on there i asure you but it is quite a small group they had 22 cars turn up but only about 10 stayed for the duration but i suppose it's wot you make of it if we brought in a few more like minded people we could make a good time of it they have a meal a sit down and a chat so it's all good to be honest, this is after drooling over some of the cars

i would agree with u on the slating of companies but dont trust spec one as far as u can throw them. he knws some dodgy bods but they are that stupid to do what rs sandy said an if it was a range at the end of his road nic had one a few yrs back wen him an his pals got a kicking in front of me up landor street in brum

Terrible I would personaly castrate anyone who tried similar .
I was a spec one owner Had some expencive servicing work done when i had my S2, stickers went on, wasnt sure weather or not to keep em on, a day later my dad tore the 's' off, and told me it was either all off, or pec one decals. Needless to say, they came off and it was mint again. Where in brum are you? Im harborne.

read it again u clown, i did point out it could just be a minority giving the majority a bad name, and i know the reg of the red RS off by heart now that stalked my yard the whole time, and im fully aware it didnt belong to the main guys who run the white S1 cossies etc

so unless your feeling guilty and happen to own H229 GDG, red rs turbo, 16" mondeo 5 spokes, i suggest u learn to read

plus, whos more deluded, me, or the clever dudes trying to break into my garage to steal my stripped bare base spec shell

B16 will, im in great barr mate, moved house since my whole issue with the light fingered scum who wanted my stuff away tho lol

you didnt actually clarify clearly that this was nothing to do with the owner of Spec One so to a potential customer of his he would clearly be put off i would imagine

well to clarify ever so clearly for the dingle who appears to be very defensive here...

i actually went down landor street and got pointed in the direction of who i was told was the main spec one bod, n made it very clear i wanted to know who H229 GDG belonged to, and what he was playin at, and he said he knew the car and the fella well, but wouldnt shed any light on it for me. so that to me seemed like a guy who wasnt too worried about someone potentially ruining his reputation

so i think im allowed to be slightly miffed here, seeing as i was fairly calm about the whole 'my car and property being targeted'

oh yeh, to add another midlands site/group into the mix, rs-mania have a good community of ford lovers, and the dudes on the BCRSOC are a good bunch too basically all the 1s that dnt count landor street as a legitimate meet

place was fun to watch, but watchin 3 cars race down a 2 lane road, with oncoming traffic, not my ideal road to try and drive along haha

used to park up midland street, 1 eye on my car for anybody tryin to rob it, and the other eye on the maniac afghans in their micras incase 1 decided to fly at me lol

like i have said tho, it could just be the minority ruining it for the majority, my only experience is clearly a bloke known to the spec one guys, who then tried to have my stuff away. the spec one main man himself wasnt the 1 at my garage door anyways thats for sure

as for going to them for goods or services, i can only go by the comments above from those who have, who to be fair dont sound best pleased lol
