what handbrake cable do i use,got a mk5b escort m reg,now gonna fit a mk6 rear disc beam to it,cable part no reqd or can i use the mk 6 hand brake lever in my mk5b,cheers alan

 

You really need to take a look and see what the fitting is at the lever end. It'll be either a half moon shape or a sort of rectangular box shape.

 

Use a mk5 RS2000 handbrake cable.

 

Like I said fella, they come with two different connectors at the lever.

The half moon one is Finis No. 6676123

I'll see if I can find the other one.

 

cable on mk6 beam is a rectangular one,one on my 5b is a round one,can i change the handbrake lever over from mk6 to mk5 and keep my mk6 cable,as i have all the parts here rather than buy a new cable..?
