Bit of turbo help/advice?
Hey all, just been looking at my new turbo (T34/35, .48 exhaust, is it a 34 or a 35?!)
The problem i have spotted is, the flange on the turbo has stud threaded in, the standard T3 that came off has blank holes for stud on the manifold to go through, and then obviously bolts on the turbo flange.
So now i have a studded/threaded manifold and turbo, which obviously isn;t going to work.
How do i get round this, drill the threaded holes out of the turbo flange?
And one last thing, i pressume there should be a gasket between turbo/manifold?
There wasn't one on it when it came apart, which seemed very wrong to me (i am a tyre/exhaust fitter! lol)
I have bought a cometic one, just making sure it should definatly have one!
Any help would be marvelous.
Thanks all!

dan why didnt you just pm me lol
yeah they should be a gasket between the joints mate ,
and as far as the stud , are you talking where the turbo fits to the manifold or where it bolts to the exhaust , ?
genrally the studs are in the maniflod where the turbo bolts to ,
they can be removed if you have a stud in both ,
just wind two nuts together on the thread tighten them to each other , and then wind out the stuc uning the two locked off nuts ,
or bell me on msn , ill talk you through it bud ,
