Not really. Though it can vary with where you get them. Shin hurts, as does indside of the lips...

Like a cut or scratch really until they heal fully.

ive got loads mate.shoulder area wasnt too bad.as long as you keep it topped up with savlon etc it isnt too sore after it.its a few days later when it scabs over i find them itchy as hell and you have to try no scratch them.

DONT USE SAVLON!!! Go to the chemist/tesco and buy a tube of Bepanthan. It's a baby nappy rash cream and will stop your tattoo from scabbing over. Generally a tattoo thats covered in this will heal in 3 - 4 days

Its agony, you'll probably pass out and quite possibly die from shock trauma....

Seriously Man Up mate! Its no worse than sticking a pin in your arm..

As for after care, Preperation H is the bollocks, its the shark oil in it that helps stopall the itching and helps keep the colours mega bright, just make sure if you ask someone else to pick it up for you they know to get the cream, my Mum brought a load of suppositries by mistake once when i asked er lol

Liking the mechanical arm, was that done by Chris Ackroyd by any chance?

That's the only advice you need!

Don't use anything else and only apply a VERY THIN and even layer, otherwise it'll clog your pores and cause infection.

I wouldn't say it will heal completely in 3-4 days. More like ten days to 2 weeks, but it'll only take a few days to scab over nice and cleanly

Shoulder doesnt hurt! I recently had one done from the top of my ribs to half way down my leg! And down my side hurt like a bitch i had to be pinned down as i kept twitching Done 3 1/2 hours so far just got to go back get the bottom half colored now about about 1h30 to go!

Can't be that bad or I wouldn't keep going back for more

I have always used savlon, as thats what my tattooist recommends and all of mine have healed perfect! Had 1h 30 of coloring done last friday and its scabbed come of an healed perfect now and its not even been 2 weeks!

Theres a place here in brum who do tatoos, the guy has no pictures at all for refrence as he will only work with you on your own ideas, my mate has a mechanical heart on his chest by him , the art work is simply stunning, detail like the arm steveh has posted up, my tatoos diddnt hurt, it was the fecking buzzing that did my head in!!

My brothers dont scab when he uses bepanthen and he has quite a few tattoo's. They stay moist and then seem to heal, without scabbing at all, and they stay very vivid.
