Default 406 pugeot heater

can someone help with the heaters on 406 executive td the heaters are luke warm
when its on auto setting .but when you put the blower on it just blows out cold air
have change the thermostat and gave the system a good bleed but cant get it hot
any ideas,it also got air con thanks

Is it the diesel one? If so, is it the Hdi or XUD engine?

On the XU, there is a top bleed nipple just behind the intercooler on the drivers side if you didnt already find it.
Im at the same point with my runner, need to run a hose through the heater matrix and have another try at bleeding it.

its the diesel i found the bleed nipple and i gave it a good bleed and still the same any idea what else could it be

Not sure tbh ricky, do you have any water leaks?
Im starting to suspect mine is a blocked heater matrix, though the coolant is perfect, and was the same (no crap in it) when I dropped it all just before xmas

Will sling a hose on it and see if its got much flow

I heard they are supposed to be notorious for shit heaters though

The 406 does suffer from blocked and leaky heater matrix's. Touch wood though the heaters on my HDI executive are spot on.

I have this problem with my m-reg 306td but on warmer days it works fine

but on cold days even the temp gauge dosent move lol
