Default BMW 318i help needed

hi chaps

my e36 318i daily runner hunts when first started in the morning, then settles and then hunts again when hot, also the fuel economy is alot worse than i thought it would be, i was thinking along the lines of a temp sensor but i haven't really heard of any of these problems before, anybody had these problems before, any help would be appreciated

cheers guys

I had a similar problem with my E36 318is a while back and all it turned out to be was a rubber boot on the inlet had worn through, leaving a hole. Cost about £15 from BMW including a new pair of clips.

But something like that could be all manner of sensors etc
