Fucking bank charges again!!!!!!!

I had just finished my UCAS form and having put the £15 in the bank I expected to pay I tragically found theyd upped the price to £17!!

Obviously i had a deadline to meet and it was after bank hours so i checked my account to see if i had an extra couple of quid left in like i usually do, as well as the £15 i put in earlier. My balance to withdraw was £16.99 .

Obviously i didnt want my application to be late so i chanced it in the hope it would clear. It did YEY!!! I did this just before 2200 and at midnight my pension was credited into my account as expected so i didnt even need to go put a penny in the bank

Fast forward to today!!

I recieve a nice letter from the bank charging me £35!!!!

£35 for being 1p overdrawn for 2 hours!!!

Barclays Charged me £8.00 plus, I had gone overdrawn by 50p
Had to use my card as I ran out of change
I only bought a Ribena costing £1.00

go in explain it to them & they will probably cancel the charge

Might try that!!! I havent had a charge for over a year despite being unemployed for 6 months ( i cancelled all DD when i became unemployed and pay bills by giro over the counter! no risk of unexpected bills bouncing then).

 

had they advised you of increased fee?

i usually go in and kick off usually does the trick and helps me to boot.

do you have cards and insurance with them? if you do,threaten to take it elsewhere,

worst they can say is no you cant have it back.

 

£35 for 1p over 2 hours is a tad excessive.go down and torch the local branch, thatll teach them

theyve got a fooking cheek when theyve just been bailed out again by the taxpayer for their reckless spending/lending practices.

 

Warren, call them up and explain the situation.

They will cancel this charge I reckon, I've done it a couple of times.

 

i'm just looking into this i got charged £50 for 2 debet's being cancelled and if you look on the net they aren't allowed to charge you more than £12 buy fair trade law's, i'v just got to keep myself calm before i go in there and get myself arrested for being annoyed they have done me out of the only bit of cash i was depending on to use to search for work, as said above WANKERS! WANKERS! WANKERS!

 

lol makes you laugh... why do banks charge you, obviously they know your skint otherwise you wouldnt be over-drawn... lol beats me why they penalise you when you have fook all.....

it is true in wot i'm saying isn't it i thought you could claim them back now after all this ruling that went into court or am i wrong

 

No verdict yet and the claims are all on hold till it is.

However, speaking as a major shareholder in Halifax (and Lloyds, TSB, RBS and fuck knows what other banks - thanks Gordon!) just pay me my money you spendthrift!!!!
