but should be worth a try on the Q.E i'll have to start mooching about some more, i just have to watch because of papers that's all, people are funny about it even though i can still do a good job ,

and i'll keep that trick in mind i no a good shower usually does the job it's just waiting all that time till you get home

have you had to put the pin through your nail yet that's another eye opener isn't it

Im a building contractor, also specialising in hard landscaping also.

Got an extention/conversion new duoble gararge and 100m2 drive to do in March and another house in my village with major structural alterations to do (love these jobs as theres no planning or building regs as such, Can just get on and do a nice job with out stalling every 5 mins to get the nod from a suit in a hi-vis, i fooking hate paper work!)

So im good for 6 months or so.After that tho, who knows, i may have to start advertising, never have done before but will if i have to

what do you call second fix? finishings as in door frames, skirtings and facings etc? good news for you anyway.hopefully bosses will realise that with less employees to cover the donkeys having a good guy on good earnings is better than having to send someone back to fix the original work a cheaper donkey did.

were seeing £1200 for a 3 bed house , thats including the kitchen thats already assembled with precut tops.make up all frames, hang doors, cills, skirtings, facings and fit cheapo ironmongry. me and my mate can turn over 1 to completion in 3 days, 8-5, so it works out at about £200 each a day. £600 for a 1 bed flat done in a day and 2 hours so about £200 a shift again. clerk of works is fussy as fook so everything had to be quality. social housing is were its at just now for housing assosiations and councils etc.

they're the only people still building and sadly and even they've had cut backs . makes me sick looking at some of the crap people turn out and claim to be carpenters .
we can only really work till 4 as it gets bit too dark and agents want to start locking up, but if your grafting hard you want to be taking home 1k a week but its getting real hard to now
