why do want it? is it so that you can input a bullet cam to it? in which case i would get a separate solid state recording device (i.e. plug the bulletcam in and record on SD card)

I'll echo the statement above, get a solid state recorder with your bullet cam. Not cheap mind

http://www.fastfilms.co.uk/chasecam-pdr100.php About Ł500ish

This is the kit used in this YouTube video. Great thing is you get the G loading as well for extra coolness.

Then get a decent HDD Hi-Def Camcorder for everything else.

you probably can. hd camcorders that record to SD card are not that dear now, although i don't know if any of them have the av input. it used to be the case that not many european models had it enabled but jap ones did, but think that is no longer the case. i guess you just have to check each product spec or go on an av forum or something

I researched this 2years ago and contacted all the major manufacturers , apparently they stopped producing cameras with av inputs as they were being used to infringe copywrite laws ??? wtf The only camera's i have found that still have an av input are the big arsed proffessional cameras that are anywhere from Ł1000 to Ł3000 ! and they are possibly a bit too large for what you want m8.
We needed one for our snowboarding trips but couldnt buy one for love nor money , we ended up using a pmp (personal media player with 20g hd) and a bullet cam . It was probably the better option anyway as the pmp is small and flat and fitted in my pocket much easier than a camera would have .
