Parked the car (the E39) in the carpark yesterday at work and then when finishing time (the best time ) comes, I wander off to get in.

Something didn't look quite right at bumper level as I walked upto it On closer inspection, some twatting cunt has driven into it Massive scuff on the bumper with paint missing (Scuff polished out and missing paint now looks like a big stone chip). The bumper insert (colour-coded) has taken the brunt of the impact and all the paint has come off it, the parking sensor was pushed back into the bumper recess and now the PDC doesn't work as the sensor is damaged too

So for the sake of someone turning 1 foot too early to get out of a parking space, I have now got to make good at least £400 of damage in paint and parts - Pointless going thru the insurance as my excess is £300

To top it off, no note on windscreen (not that I expected it), and the bloke who was on the security hut said CCTV wansn't pointing that way - How convenient - out of no less than 20 cameras that point all over the carpark they were all pointing the other way .

Not very pleased is an understatment - seems you can't have anything nice anymore as cunts just damage or destroy and then fuckoff without saying a thing


I guess it could of been worse - it could of been the wing, bonnet, headlight and wheel that were damaged too

 

what a wanker the other driver is , it could of been worse mate but at the same time no damage is better

 

mmhmm - It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a staff carpark, but the public can use it so there is no chance of pinpointing/tracing the vehicle without cctv

I've had the same thing happen to me a couple of times. Only had my saph for a day, parked it in a car park, came back to it, drove off, braked for the first time and the front bumper just fell on the deck and was scraping along the road. Some arsehole had hit it breaking the bumper bracket and just pushed it back on! again no note or anything!

The fact that some peope just dont give a shit really boils my piss!

Someone once did that to me years back... was using the boyfriend's pride and joy escort van..... when the person next to me had reversed out of the space.... they had turned the wheel, hit the van just behind the passenger door and instead of stopping, just kept going all the way to the back to get our.... so not just a scuff.... but a well dented scuff...... boy did I get it when I got home.....like it was my fault.

 

i saw some dippy woman turn into a space in november and basically take the front of this car off... then hit the passenger door and then jumped on her phone ...
seconds later she is looking around didnt see me sat in the van .. she drove of to anothe bit of the car park and left it there ..
so i took some pics of both cars and left a note in an envelope on the car she had hit.
person emailed my hotmail account and i sent the pics off....
got a thank you later on that month and the police are prosecuting for leaving the scene of an accident ..
had to fill in a witness statement etc but i think it was worth it ...

 

That is the reason why I have a £300 snotter for work, anything of any value will either get hit or broken into, Bunch of ARSE

 

Believe me, I am tempted to get a shitbox to run to work and back in purely because of things like this, just space being an issue at the moment - no room at the inn for another car

id have a look early on around the car park when your at work on mondayfor some one with damage along the side of their car. no traces of the other paint colour on yours?

 

yep,i've had a car park car for years.....too many tossers and fat cows in X5's, Ranges etc that don't think twice about swinging thier door/s onto your car when they are getting thier lardy arses out of the thing....also these cars are too big for most of them and they just can't judge thier distance when it comes to parking etc

i spend upto £200 for bangers with T+T, usually around 6 months. run them into the ground for work then scrap them when the T+T run out after playing destuction derby with them. i used to get £150 ish back from the scrappy but that was last year so a few months cheap motoring .

 

had this the other day on the estate where i live, came home from work to find my rear light on my car smashed to bits and a massive scuff on the bumper.

thought to myself the c**ts looked on the windscreen for a note and found one from a bird saying sorry and leaving her number.

ive been ringing it all week and its off constanly bet she told her boyfriend who said fuck him leave your phone off lol.

went to change the light tonight to find that the metal is pushed back as well

Paul you should check the CCTV footage to see what cars were parked next to you during the timescale u were parked up, it may narrow it down a bit.

 

I once saw an old man pulling out of a car parking space and catch the wheel of a 4x4 parked opposite. He kept going so I flagged him down and told him what he'd done. He must of been 90 and about 4 foot tall bless him, and he genuinely hadn't realised he'd hit it. He only left his paint on the 4x4 but had made a right mess of the front corner of his bumper. He kept asking me "what should I do" and was quite upset so I just told him to leave his details.
I don't know if he actually did though...

Fucking nightmare - similar thing happened to my old Fiesta, someone completely fucked the passenger door when I had it parked at work, no note, no nothing

 

Happens all too often. As said above, get a shitter for work and leave the nice one @ home. I use a little Cinquecento for work now. Can park it in any space I want, if someone knocks it, it ain't too much of a problem, etc...

One of the bumpers on my 4be alone would cost more to replace and paint than buying and insuring the little Fiat in the first place. That, and the fuel saving I make during the year more than pays for the MOT, tax and insurance on the little pile of Fiat.

Even so far, it has saved me damage. Had some prat in a company van decide that he wanted the same bit of road as me once @ a set of lights and proceeded to try and push me off the road, literally. His van was scraped to buggery and my Fiat had the door mirror pushed shut to the car, which it is designed to do anyway. The 4be would have needed new wing, doors, mirror, etc. and probably a full-side respray.

It happened to my GTE years ago, left it round the back at work, came out at 2am and noticed a MASSIVE scrape all the way down one side!!!!!! Car was worth around £4000 at the time too and i only had third party insurance!

Anyway, next day i went round all the cars (around 50 with a fine tooth comb as it was bound to have damaged their bumper/bodwork, couldnt find anything but noticed a big 7 series beemer inside a loading bay which seemed very strange. Went in for a look and what do ya know, the remains of my paint all over the bumper and wing!!!!!

Turned out it was the CO-OP managers car! Stormed straight into the offices and dragged him outside. He tried to deny it, but when i pointed out my GTE was a special paint job so a very rare paint, he admitted it!

Ended up getting it repaired for me and i got a full re-spray out of it, got it de-locked with a few other bits and bobs doing at a cost of nearly £3000, so didnt turn out too bad in the end really.

But still, thats not the point!

Well worth looking round the car park everyday for a few days at least mate.

Its true, you really cant have anything nice these days, a mate of mine at work had the passenger door on his Subaru scratched this week on the car park at work, right from one end to the other and really deep, no ones admitted to doing it, and these are the people we work with!!

when i'm at college I park in my works carpark as its only round the corner and free. I park in an end space as close to the edge as possible so the side facing the other spaces is well over a foot away from the line, and some cunt still opens their door into my car!!

 

Problem is your fucked having anything nice these days.

If you buy a shitter for work fine, but then your leaving a valuable car home all day and it wont take much for a criminal to realise your out all day and hence cant hear alarms.

I do get the impression some people deliberately do the door bash to others cars.

A week after getting my puma, i parked up in my local tesco carpark miles away from other cars, as i always do to avoid damage, YET when i came back there was a trolley against the side of the car with some deep scratches where it had hit the car which some force.

Now its a flat car park and no way could it have rolled into my car, and there were no stray trolleys anywhere near when i parked. (not to mention i was a long way from any other car!!!).

So obviously some cunts done it deliberately. Probably some CHAV kid who saw a nice car, got jealous and thought hed scratch it up for a laugh to "teach me".

Unfortunately you cant leave nothing anywhere now. A few times now Ive come out shops etc to see the odd chav looking in windowof my car or a car of chavs parked nearby and it discourages you from driving anywhere where you leave the car unattented for more than a few minutes, which pisses me off as its limiting but what choice do you have these days???

 

I came out to this just over a year ago, a drunk driver lost control of his car at 4am, the first corner he had turned, he tried to limp away in his vectra but the police caught him round the corner, A neighbour had got his reg number for me, the drunk driver was apparently covered in blood, I hope he was in pain

about 10 years ago i had a gte cabrio loved it to bits, spent loads, full respray all the usual billy bits lol, anyways went to burger king in there 5 mins came out side of it was fucked mirror hanging off dented quarter door wing etc, went inside spoke to manager ened up with the cctv but ws crap got no info off it, some pikey in a pickup truck reversed and scraped all down the side, i was well and truley devostated

 

i must say some people now days take the utter piss dont they why dont people just own up to what theye done or even leave a note i mean tbh id feel like a right cunt jus driving off i mean id need some horlicks to get me to sleep that night
