I am just wondering as live mapping,launch control,any probs with your car and plug it into your laptop then it tell you also has everything plus when taking it into a tunning company no more chips etc etc wrong or right in saying that?

You can get megasquirt to run a chainsaw
It will work, but as there are so many good ecu's about and very knowledgeable tuners I don't think its worth buying.
It's not going to be as easy as plug it in, fiddle a bit on settings and it will work fantasticly. So pay a bit more and go to someone like Stu, considering the starting bid is £315

but Stu is miles away and i know a guy who can set them up was just wondering have you had a look on the net to see what they do?trust me this has everythingbut thanks for the oppinion

I did look into megasquirt ages ago when I had a FRST, no doubting it's very capable and fully loaded with features.
If you know someone to set it up then all the best to you, I havn't seen megasquirt on a cosworth so at least it would be different, which is always good

i had a turbo with one on it work greatbut was only wondering if it would fit a cossie but know you have let me know it will cheeRS i was looking at a coiil pack conversion for the cosworth and it was around £250 for to put a coil pack on a megasquirt its about £60-£80 i was just thinking that cheap for a live mapible ecu as well

blackpool if its the same Stu i am thinking about?as you say Stu out with the old and in with the new goodiesbut iam only inquiringalso the vr6 turbo my mate has is running megasquirt works great on that aswell

i was intending on buying one as i was told my car wasnt running smoothly because of an ecu problem but its fine my car getting finished today matei got another 3 door anti roll bar for the comps Stu so thats getting fitted tommorow and mot'd hopefully but the car is running perfect now and the new owner is screaming for the carso 500 mile run in then its away getting put into storage

but also have to say Stu in blackpool really knows his stuff and would defo be a place i would highly recomend as he has helped mee wioth my cossie and has been spot on every time i have asked for help
