The standard Ford gear is fine mate.
The dials can go a bit nuts when the battery is on the way out, common problem.
The car wont pull convincingly at the top end and the exhaust will be very quiet. Stand behind it and get someone else to rev it. If its buggered it will be noticably quieter.
Best of luck.

I got cheappy ones and theyve warped so you say genuine ford ones are the way to go.
The cat is stinking and the engine is loud.
the dials arent moving mate jsut the engine revs

Idle control valve. Remove and clean, if that doesnt fix it then replace it.
They shouldn't warp with normal road use. The ones from ford are exactly the same as you would get from a motor factors, just in a different box! Either that or bolt on a 300mm st170 set up?

ive got a complet Focus RS setup.
discs and pads only changed 2000 miles ago, pads are Ferodo DS2500, and they are the Brembo 4 pots.
looking around £400 ono for the complete setup, only for sale as im fitting AP 6 pots.
