Everyone harks on about the Group A cone filter and say that group a cars did not run these, so I would hazard a guess and say box and filter will do the job

Stick with the box.

 

cut the whole front off your box like mine

 

On testing I found even the rs500 airbox to be restrictive over 500 bhp, hence the special airbox that was made for my car.

 

std box..........std filter will do aswell but k&n cos they are easy to get..........chop front out of airbox to improve intake

 

the 2wd with grp a lid and k and n air filter works wonders with 600hp

has the front cut out too.



as for the question, i much much prefer the look of the standard box, chop the front out or if its easier cut big and small holes in the front
