It needs to be wired in parallel with the ECU, so it displays the readings directly from the sensors. To install, you need to do a bit of soldering (
) and a pinout diagram of the ECU. And you'll need somewhere to mount the display, when I get mine, I fancy having it in the sun visor or something different...
It also has no clock.

I've got one of these fitted into the centre of the clocks, with a little bit of fiddling you can relocate the fuel and temperature gauges, then its right where you want to be looking when you're driving. Will put some pics in when I get the car back from the garage.
My question is can they be re-programmed, as I now have a T6 ECU and have been told that I need an update for the SECS before wiring it in? Anybody know if the company that makes them are contactable on the phone or net?

do they work with a Pectel T2 tho?
why would it not work with a T6 Simon?
From my undersatanding it reads straight from the sensors, so why would it not work? Obviously you know more about it as you designed it
drop me a pm if you do not want to post on the thread mate.

Only weber ecu's will work.
Pretty much only the map sensor would work the same.
Other sensors are read by measuring the resistance by injecting a voltage from the ecu.
Different ecu's use different bias resistors to pass this voltage thus making any direct reading wrong !

I really liked my SECS ECU monitor, shame its not a lot of use any more. Have been looking at some of the really nice race dash's available now, some great threads on here listing some of the better ones. Personal favourites are the DASH2 and the AIM MXL. Also followed the FPM demo software thread, downloaded the demo, very interesting. Keep up the good work
