If you see another Rs driving towards you do you give them a flash of the lights or a nod or wave ?.I remember anyone who had a VW especially a bug doing this and have seen subaru owners doing it.I only ask because somoene in a S2 did it lst night,so me not being an ignorant person did the same back.A few lads local to me with S1 or S2s always show me the lights and i dont know them but when i see a Cosworth unless its one of my mates they dont seem to bother.Maybe they just think as they or their car are better than me/mine ? Any views ??

it's a much of muchness this one ...i flash my lights, or nod, But some local rs people get funny cos they see me as a young driver in a 3 door. i'm quite friendly but not everyone is. I find rs turbos drivers are more friendly cos they look up to the cos as the ''big sister''. But I know of a couple of high power rs turbos and they just want to race the cossies to see if they can beat it. Theres a guy in his late 30's who lives down my road he has a high spec 2wd saph, he knows i have a 3 door but he never comes over to say hello, definetely cos im young he jealous you can tell by how he looks over lol.

 

havent drove an rs on the road for bout 3 years now.always in my garagebut when i do i always give a flash.just to show appriciation

 

when i came back from edinburgh on the motorway there was a focus st,, he beeped his horn and we had a little race. Good laugh

 

I am an oldie 36 today !! but i still give a nod or flash the the lights.Tbh i usually light the rear up too ,i just cant help myself.Ooh bugger 36 yesterday now birthdays gone.

I flash to any car I appreciate so cossie of course, but find some of the other people driving older cars think I'm piss taking!!

we used to get fed up with it when we were in Newquay for RTTS, every other car on the road was a bug, variant or camper!

the last person to flash the lights at me was some guy in a 90 with snorkel, ladders and a million spotlights on it, when i was driving my plain old disco think he liked land rovers more than i do lol

 

Have you gone over to talk to him? You know he has a saph. Doubt he's jealous, probably thinks your a chav twat that doesn't appreciate the car he has. Works both ways mate, he may just be shy.

As for flashing other RS's, yeah I do on the very few occations I am driving mine. Some return the jesture, some don't. Its not as common/popular as with the VW's.

we used to do this in minis when i first passed my test, my mates had a few people flash in his scooby and hes like whats his problem
i do if i see another rs il try catch them to have a gander at it

 

i always just look and i think other ppl catch your eye and nod. i remember coming back from ford fair in my yellow clio van, just looking/perving lol at a saph and the guy just booted it off then slowed down as he turned off the junction and nodded.

I also remember when my old dear bought a brand new mini, it said in the handbook to flash other mini drivers, she once had a woman waving away at her when she was sitting in traffic and thought the woman was a weirdo!! lol !!
