They are the same mate but if they have been fitted to a head with a worn cam then the cam will have trashed them within 5 mins of the engine been started and they will be in need of replacement along with a new cam.
You say your car is poorly could you tell me the symptoms or whats wrong and i will try to help you the best i can.

so basically every sensor has been replaced for known good ones, the ecu has been repaced, all electrical connections have been cleaned, the head removed & checked, the compression is now equal in all cylinders and the diagnostic device shows no faults....which is nice
yet the problem is still there...exactly the same as always...i suppose the next thing is the Cam...i cant think of anything else???? very odd
btw - the bloke before me did fit worn lifters to a worn cam from different engines...needless to say its now very tappy
oh and also the cars struggling to pull 25 to the gallon with easy driving

well...i went to that scrappy today and extracted a Htydraulic lifter from a G reg XR2I, so i could compare it to the RS ones that are in mine, and interestly they are quite different, the O/D of the body is the same , however the overall length is different, the RS lifters being approx 1mm longer. ocbviously this also throws out the oil gallery, hopefully this is the root of all the problems....a cam kit is on its way
thanks again for all ya help
