Default transit troubles..

ive got a transit tourneo and am having a few gearbox issues.it seems to crunch in 3rd gear.but if i let the revs die right down wen shifting in to 3rd it dont crunch.also sometimes a bitch to get in 1st..any suggestions.hoping i dont need a new box.its a 2.0 tdci done 79k

my 05 plate fwd was the same worse on very cold nights wouldnt select any gear from cold but ok when warm
new cables sorted it out though

been told it might be cables.not sure where to take it tbh dont really wana pay ford dealer prices.would a garage know if the cables were fooked by looking at them.

your best bet would to remove the cables and feal if they are moving freeley but yes and honist garage should be able to check them for you
