Default rear brakes locking(non ford)

hello guys

i have a problem with my corsa, when braking my rear wheels seem to lock up and the front dont?

i have had the drums off and had a look and they seem fine cleaned them up and that but still seem to lock up?

i have posted this on another forum and iv been told it could be the load/bias valve?.....but then some say it dont have one its a 1.2 8v corsa
been lowered 60mm all round.

any suggestions on what it could be or if anyone else has had this problem id be grateful for some info

many thanks

if its be lowered 60mm then maybe its changed the geometry of the suspension therefore the amount of tyre on the road would be less?!

May be handbrake, do the wheels spin freely off the ground with the handbrake off? If not i suppose you wouldn't have been able to get the drums off tho...

Did the problems start just after you lowered it?

it did it before i lowered it aswell, it also makes a grinding/huming sound when i brake and its coming from the passenger side drum.

it can be pretty bad as in when i brake the car slides....ended up sideways the other day...dont really want to drive it anymore untill its sorted.

iv checked bearings and also there is no play?

do youn think that air in the system could cause it?

Hence the car thinks it has 3 fat birds in the back !!
Best bet is to kick the fat fookers out before you all die

It's none of them, vaux's of this age have a very high brake pressure to the rear, if driven "enthusiastically", the drums warp as they are so crap, I replace my drums every year due to this, they will be worse when cold, spin the drum and you will feel tight and loose spots as it touches the shoes.
VERY common problem on vaux's.
The best cure is to rear disc it, as I am doing, when weather permits.
