Default Ferrari 360's... getting very affordable now

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/832294.htm

£35k for a F1 360 in Rosso!! Ok it's a bit high milage, but what a car for the money , 360's seem to be taking a bit of a hammering at the moment, and compared to a cossie the running costs are not actually that silly, been looking into them for a while now and at/around this price they are into serious bargin territory IMHO... I am very tempted to sell the Escort and saff and buy one, from the stupid money we pour into Fords there is a lot of cars out there now for the taking, 996 turbo's are falling pretty quickly as well ...

Haha! I'm far from rich Simon

But you do get what you pay for as I found out after covering approx 1300 miles in 2 weeks looking for the right car & I paid a hell of a lot more than what those are up for but then again I bought mine from an official Ferrari delaership & I knew at the time I handed over my hard earned that I would be losing out on it when I sell it but that's the way it goes with cars so no problem as far as I'm concerned

Ive noticed the prices of these dropping aswell , the one in the first link looks a bit dodgy to me with the back painted to look like a challange grill and the pasangers foot well looks weird aswell like water damage or something but it may just be the pic.

I know exactly what you are saying AJ, but these are (IMHO) an example you could pick up for sensible cash and not have to worry about putting miles on, as I can't see them dropping much lower long term than maybe another 10% max, so just service it and enjoy ... People seem to think that the 360 handles "High" milage (for a Ferrari ) much better than the 348/355 etc , and you would see most of the cash back you invest if you keep it tidy.

How are you finding yours?

I'm loving it Wil

It was my dream car so I think that's what makes it even more special for me bud, I started to think about buying a Lambo recently but you know what they just dont do it for me & it's probably because I already have my dream car (plus my cousin has a Murci & a Gallardo so I can always take his out for a blast if I fancy it)

If you're thinking of buying one let me know & I'll come with you to have a look at some as I picked up quite a lot of good tips when I was looking for one

Alot of car for the money, but don't think they will get much cheaper over the next year. Servicing cost ar resonable condidering its a Ferrari.

Not how am I going to get my hands on 35k, hmmm

My mate bought a 360 not so long ago.. he decided to take it into a garage for a service and one of the mechanics went on a test drive and stuffed it into a tree. Apprently my mate has a video of my other mate opening the door and it falling off in his hand.. haha

Needless to say the garage paid out and he has a bentley now...git

folk said they wouldnt get much cheaper when they were 50-60k...
still think they have a bit to come down yet.and the servicing isnt that bad but thats if all it needs is an oil and filter change lol
cant imagine the tryes, clutch and brakes etc lasting that long and i wouldnt like to see the bill to replace them all
great if you wanna buy one and toodle along at 30 and do a thousand miles a year but what would be the fun in that

the thing with aj's motor though is that it will be that much easier to sell and will hold it's vaule more with the peole who buy this sort of thing on a whim

my mate bought a 456 last year and, out of the 2 he was loking at around the £40k bracket, he chose the older one that had done more miles and had the bigger service (18k vs 24k)

ok, so it's a tax thing, but there is an ebay link at the bottom of the page for a 360 going for £65k

My uncle was looking at getting one but because he doesn't really want a Ferrari for a few reasons, he's being looking at BMW M6s and I had a brief look at they are the same price as a 360 with next to no mileage! £30-£40k with decent mileage (sub 25k!!!) for a 2-3 year old M6!
