any ideas
i replaced my radio yesturday, everything done fine. went out for a run and couldnt start it after an hour in the pub, got a jump start an drove home, then it wouldnt start again, the battery charger says the battery is fully charged. when i try to start all my dash lights (already dim) go down more and i can hear clicking from the engine but no joy. anyone got any ideas
ps. im a bit crap with cars (dispite being on an off road engineering course)

its a fiesta zetec lx 98. i got an adaptr from halfords, the one they recomended, and did as they said, pluged all the bits in the plugs theyre suposed to be in, but the radio works fine

as you've disconnected the battery make sure the wires into the terminals are secure, then check that the main earth wire isn't broken somewhere or corroded where it goes on to the bodywork

yeah i removed everything id fitted myself and still nothing. sorry lol i dont understand what u mean by current draw from the battery? :s

It would be worth just disconnecting the battery and cleaning the battery posts (the + and - terminals on the battery) and the leads that attach to the battery with sandpaper or a file and making sure everything is good and clean and shiny.
I had this clicking from one of my old RS Turbos when I'd had the battery off and then reconnected it, and it just hadn't got a good connection basically due to the dirt on the join between the terminals and the battery posts. It's not the stereo that's the problem.
