Never a production UK model flat front Mk2 rs2000.

Loads were converted for rallying, purely cos the flat front was easier to repair than the beak nosed polyurathane normal rs2000 front end.

I don't think Ford ever made one in the UK.

Lots of RS2000 have been converted to flat fronts though.

Glenny Boy, you have far too much time on your hands, but thanks for the advice your comment above is exactly what I had thought,

I think there is something in relation to a type 49 shell as well, but as others have said I think the droop snoot was dropped by the rallying boys...

Not sure, i know the aussie RS2000 was available in 4drs but ive never seen a factory Mk2 RS2000 with a flat front.

Mexicos and RS1800 yes, but never the RS2000.

The Flat-Fronts were all built for rallying, though it wasn't hard to convert one - loads of us put the droop-snoots on normal Escorts.

My cousin bought an Escort 1.3 Popular direct from the Police only to discover that mechanically it was all RS2000, but with Pop trim and equipment, and a flat front!

Type 49 shells where mk1 only, the rally lads rallied both versions but the nose cone cars where gp1 spec cars where as flat front cars were more of gp4 spec and sure ive read that there where some factory flat front rs2000's but not sure if they were Aus or South African built ??
