I think the marshalls handled the day well TBH, for example they let me play a bit but made it clear they didnt want me spinning out and hitting anyone etc (not that I would piss about with others too close anyway)

Thats actually what i thought...

I'm sure the guy with the tigra didnt want to end the day the way he did. Ł500 quid or not unless you're actually a complete nutter you wouldnt want to kill yourself in either a 500 quid car or a 50 grand car

I think if Gary was going on what he thought it was worth, either car, you would owe him money. No wonder Woolworth's are in the shitter.

I'm not so sure; the thought of being pasted against a tree in a Bentley Continental GT turns me on.

Lacked a cage, which tbh most evos don't have either and they go a LOT faster through the bends thus making crashes a lot worse ! Apart from that it had coilovers, v6 brakes, yellowstuff pads, ATE fluid. Engine has had new gaskets so no leaks anywhere too.

Just because we only spent Ł500 it doesn't mean its a complete shed even if its made out to be one

it made me think after my crash a cage is a must have in my opinion, gavs tumble could have been worse if that rof collapsed more

Don't get me wrong I do totally agree but in this case it wasn't a option as it meant a custom made one.

Bonnet slammed and smashed the headlight when he first got it off the trailer, inner cv broke on the first lap which was strange as its not even been used since donny 2 weeks ago where it took a days worth of abuse without any faults.

and edit:

I don't think anyone makes a bolt in cage, Custom Cages probably do a cage but it would need installing.

Chip you chav, how dare you have a bit of fun on a closed track, go and be a twat on the public road instead ...Sheesh, some people, really .... Wheelspin, tyresmoke and a car a bit out of shape is just NOT the done thing on a racetrack you know old boy, now run along and spend 30k on an Evo, then follow the other sheep round in a nice orderly fashion whilst pouring scorn on anyone who dares to bring a car that they have worked on for a bit of fun (I mean really, come on )..

Need to lighten the fuck up I think, a few of them are a bit scared of a tincan with 300BHP stuffed up it's arse will be embarrasing them soon

that looks like a bit of a handful chip

looked like a top day was had by all

but lets be honest- those lancer drivers with their 4wd, t/c, abs, ayc on their 8th or 9 evolution have much more skill than you in your home built untested first time out rwd nova

i was actually APPAULED with the driving etiquete on the track that day! and beleive it or not chip is not who im talking about (he already knows i dnt approve of his driving style... lol)

it was full of track day heros forcing their way thru and just generally driving like cocks.

to be honest the briefing was TURD. but there was no excuses for some of the driving.

there's a big difference between the likes of Si/Sketch who know each other's driving inside out and who are brothers having a bit of a tustle, and people FORCING novices off line mid-bend

if i wasnt such a scrawny little scrote i would have probably smacked some of those fucking evo drivers had they pulled some of those manouvers near me!
