Default Merry Xmas and happy new year, help needed

Merry Xmas everybody
I got a Ford Escord LX 98 1.6 zetec engine
60 k on the clock , i wonder when should i change the cambelt, i don't have previous service history of this car which i had for the past 3 years. the manual says renew zetec >2/94, transit DI >7/98, galazy diiesel, escort every 5 year or 60 000 miles
renew zetec -Se every 10 years or 100,00 miles
i don't understand the above riddles

also i got a problem with the head light
the main beam works fine but the left dipped beam is not working at all.
is it only one bulb for both dipped / main beam or two, or would that mean it is a fuse problem that the main beam is working but not the dipped beam

thanks for your help

if you dont know its had a belt done before then just get it changed anyhow

i'm sure any mechanic on here will tell you that you always change a belt soon as you get a car if you dont know the history

As above, but I always change them anyway, every 25,000 miles.
There is no way I would let one do 100,000 or ten years some say, this has more to do with marketing/servicing hype than reality.
As for the headlight yours are H4, so they are dip and mainbeam in one bulb(two filaments) so no doubt just one blown filament which a new bulb will fix.
If you want better lights upgrade to philips xtreme, for around £20(pair) massive improvement.
