well wrapped between 2 bits of plywood in bubble wrap and it might be ok . if you mark it as fragile they will make a point of smashing it

down to the packaging, as said, two bits of ply with blocks between to keep the item from getting crushed, then well bubble wrapped so it cannot move around between the ply.

All you can hope for.

The more packaging there is and the better it is should lower the risk of damage but tbh as with anything sent via courier damage is always going to be a risk

Just make sure if you do courier it get it covered on a service with decent insurance & claim options in case it gets damaged in transit

If it's car glass yes, because parcel carriers basically don't give a toss and chuck things about and load other stuff on top of it. I've had several things broken now and because it's glass the sender can't usually get insurance on it so you're basically knackered if it does get broken.

so what the fuck are we paying these stupid courrier companys for then??? It doesnt take much effort to gently load/unload parcels.

Hopefully the credit crunch will take out a good few courrier companys so only the ones that look after the parcels they are entrusted with survive.

Shame the mentality of most low earning employees is to not give a shit as well.

Put it in a wooden box and send via a courier.

Can't really answer the question though, As if the answer was yes, then surely no one would ever send glass

The ones that annoy me are the lazy ones who cant even be bothered to find your address. Ive had to have loads of parcels redelivered as the courriers keep saying they cant find the address or make bullshit claims like im not in. All because they are too lazy cunts to actually drive down to the bottom of the dead end street i live in. Satnav shows exactly where my house is and its a simple 150m long street but they are too lazy arse to actually come to the dead end bit.

I had one who pulled up a few houses up street then drove off he didnt even be bothered to get out his truck and check house numbers He was parked outside no 33 and i live in no 29 not fucking rocket science to think about looking two doors down Its lucky i saw him and ran up street after him

Its not fucking rocket science to actually knock on the door to see if the recipients actually in is it or are we supposed to have a 6th sense for when a delivery struck is within 500 yards so we stand on door step waiting for it

Low earning? you dont know what your on about ,i did 35k this year driving a van . and as for the item getting smashed,if your like most stupid people out there who want to post glass without it being packed properly then exspect it to get smashed, i went to a bloke at a salvage yard tuesday who wanted to sent a mk3 fiesta door with glass, get there, 1 small bit of bubble wrap round the top of the door , HOW THICK CAN YOU GET . I didnt take it . I have stuff everyday on my van that isnt packed 100% and do my best not to damage it, but when you have 100/150 other items sometimes its tough. pack it with board either side and bubble wrap in the middle and it will be fine!

so you must be the exception then £35k driving a van, you must have clocked up some hours!!!

Obviously not that many couriers are as good as you or people wouldnt have so many problems.

Retards not packing things sensibly doesnt help.
