For many years me and my mates all get together and basically go out and get a few beers down us.. So, for many years felt pretty rough Xmas day which kind of ruins it...

This year doesnt feel the same plus the hangovers are getting worse... so I'm semi tempted to have a quiet one... but usually it is rammed down town...

What do you do..? civilised or mad..

Just a few beers in the house as i have a 96 mile drive to the west side of teh country for the day

But untill i settled down i was out on the lash from as early as possible to 3/4 in the mornin and a few years on the trot i missed xmas dinner due to being ill as fuck .........but i was a bigtime bevy merchant

Xmas eve always has been a piss up well last 20 years anyway lol then usually golf on xmas morning to sort the slight hangover out then back on it again same this year but no golf got bad back ;0(

Used to go into town on a dayer, everyone and his dog used to be out, The last time we did it there were about 60 of us, the lads that moved away come back, the lads who are only allowed out once a year were out, everyone, meet at half 12 go for a wander round the boozers and back to the local for 6.
Not done it for 3 or 4 years, keep saying we'll get it back on track.


Tomorrow is our unofficial works dooo, its the only day of the year when the day and ight lads can all get together for a beer, I wont be going because I am a miserable git

Yep, I used to be a mess on crimbo day, so last few years Ive just had a few drinks with the missus, play a wii game, watch a film.

Not finishing work till 3pm, then going to visit a few relatives.

Christmas day we are stopping in, visit our parents to say hi, then back home relatively early to chill out and cook Xmas dinner together and eat around 5-6pm.

Gonna save the drinking for NYE!

Used to and be hanging christmas day, but now I am a bit older, I have to go and visit family, have people over for christmas dinner etc so have a better day without the hang over.

Save the boozing for christmas day night and the remaining few days before back to work!!

i had one a few years back, couldn't put in enough effort for the boys they still had a good day, i enjoyed it but felt i could have had more fun

tbh the best day for me is the all dayer boxing day! Love it like all other bank holidays out through day! I prefer the day sesh now to going out at night! Plus i get up fine the next day

Went out to my local the other year for a few quite warm up drinks at lunch time, finally crawled out at about 1800, pissed as a cunt and fit for nowt and wreaked the whole of xmas day.

I usually head down to my local pub for a get-together with all my old school mates. We're down there from 7-1, so have around 8-9 pints, which isn't too bad come xmas dinner time.

For me its more about catching up with folk I haven't seen for a while, rather than getting pissed.

Used to go out and get seriously drunk but having a family changes all that and now im lucky if even a drop of booze will touch my lips at xmas !!

Really enjoy having a good old feed on xmas day and find that drinking booze spoils it and cant enjoy it as much, will save having a good drink until new year though as have missed out on the last 3 due to illness and being in hospital so plan to enjoy this one

Cant enjoy watching the kids opening their pressies on xmas morning if im stuck sitting there with a stinking hangover so wont be having anything on xmas eve.

Me, my brother and my dad ruined christmas for ourselves last year, so we're going to try to be good this year

i plan on not leaving the works lunchtime celebrations til this afternoon and i've driven the land rover so no one will volunteer to drive it and me back Taking the dogs to the woods to kill some drinking time to

How we ruin it for ourselves is we haven't yet learnt the meaning of restraint and moderation and make a pact to go to midnight mass (we live behind a church) as a family every year.. however it's a long day of drinking to make it to midnight mass in a decent state! and be ok in the morning

Used to out with my mates and get well and truely twatted. As we've all gotten older and grown up a bit, had kids, got mortgages we don't do it these days. Tonight we are having a coupe of friends over for a few drinks and a chilled evening. I'm actually quite looking forward to not running round like an idiot
