Did you get bored with it easily ? Been thinking about getting it fitted to my MSD chip in stu's sales but not sure if i'll get bored of it quickly.

Yep, can run it on that spec no problems.

The severity of the anti-lag is all dependent on how much air you can move. The most suitable all round solution is to modify the standard idle valve to allow it to move more air, yet allow it to still function as normal in terms of warm up compensation etc.

After that you're into top hat valves which are definitely more suited to competition cars as the cars lose a lot of their road refinement.

After that - it's big air bypass valve time!

so i could run mild anti lag on the spec im going for with only minor modifications to the engine?

ive been told that anti lag will wreck my turbo and engine but prosumably this isnt the case with mild anti lag?

Yes, Will, or twin ISCV setup, aka "double bang" But I heard it can be really undrivable and dangerous in some cases (we are talking about rally there).

You would have to fit an EGT gauge to control your exhaust gaz temp. Anyway it will shorten the life of the turbo no matter what. Some people say that with mild antilag you don't make any damage, but I think you should be prepared to pay for a turbo rebuild anyway.

I think MSD can just add the antilag feature. But just drop him an email or a call.

I just love it when you see cars with anti lag and they throw flames out the back.

I can get all the pops bangs flames anywhere I want, without anti lag, and without wear to the turbo, as set one of the maps to very low rev limiter, with hard and soft further apart, works really well, but works so much better after drilling a 5mm hole in the front pipe, after the lambda sensor!!

Imho, its a gimicky waste of time and money unless its in a race/comp car, in which case I would go for the full mountune setup.

But I didn't have the best of luck with my als, so Im prob a bit bias.

Came with the SM4 ecu, but I asked Mark what it did, makes lots of noise that appeals to some people, no performance gains. Hence I dont have it connected, I have more than enough noise & flames already. .

This is my mates cossie being mapped with his anti lag on - he's got it switchable & only really uses it for track days, he says its the best thing he's done on the car!

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7dFcMA9AKTI

Need to make sure everythings heat wrapped, turbo & downpipe etc - everything gets bloody hot & melts/falls apart if you dont.

Run it on most standard UK trackdays and you will almost guarantee a black flag from the marshals for excessive noise

I remember the famous EA rollers mine did 328.8BHP, butb as this was EA BHP the real figure was 271.7bhp, with 10.5 AFR!!
So it made less power than my stage1 GGR chip, but used 10 psi more with 1/2 the mpg!!
My bang bang is better than that, loads more flames and noise, and it's only the limiter set at 3500, drilling a small 5 mm hole in front pipe after lambda helps!!

Probably true - the jobsworths at Bedford black flag you for farting, not been black flagged so far but mainly been used at the ring and at non msv trackdays which dont have noise tests.

Good for you. If EA were as bad as you lot say they wouldnt still be in business would they - another one on the bandwagon!

You only got yours for 'flames & noise' then?

They're still in business, partly, because people such as yourself are blinded by their incompetence. I put a standard 115ps car on their rollers and it reported 148bhp!!

Your a proper keyboard warrior arent you. Not my car is it mate - as I said, its my MATES CAR.

I've never taken 1 of my own cars to EA personally, this thread isnt about their fucking rollers anyway or whose taken what car their and swung their cock about its about anti-lag & I was just showing my mates cossie which has it fitted (which wasnt done by EA).

Quick Reply: FAO those with anti lag fitted to their cossies
