Default Tinternet help

Ok

I have set up a wireless network at home and its all cool

browsinig etc

one issue it wont let me point my browser at ebay of all places

Porn is fine but ebay takes forever

Its XP with SP2

any thuoghts

and it wont let me log in to ebay it just times out

hmm with std settings that shouldnt be a problem at all

check you accespoint settings wether is blocking certain things like HTTPS, certain scripts etc

i assume u have a manual from the accespoint in there there should be an url and a login to acces the accespoint's settings

go to that website, login and see what's in there

gotta go now, but try to disable the built in firewall in SP2 and test it with that off.

aaah forgot about that one SP2 enables automatically its firewall!

rightclick on: network neighbourhood - properties - rightclick your wireless connection - properties there should either be a tab with securtiy (havent got sp2 here) or take the advanced tab and disable it ... might have to restart it
