Default Ebay - Input needed please......

Ok, Ive received a few negative feedbacks from the same buyer through no fault of my own. The seller mis-read the advert and said not as described when it clearly stated what it was for!

Anyway, out of interest, when your looking to buy an item, do you actually go onto their feedback and view the feedback scores and comments? If you do, and they have a few negatives/neutrals does this put you off buying from the seller? Or do you just bid purely on what up for sale and that listing alone?

I have over 1000 feedback so im still on 99%. I now have 3 negatives (all from this person) and 6 neutrals (again 3 from same person as delivery delayed due to buyer not collecting from courier depot!) over 4 years on ebay. Do you just look at the actual percentage and if thats ok, not bother looking at the actual comments or ratings?

Do other ebayers find themselves receiving more neutrals/negaives since they changed the rules meaning sellers cant leave bad feedback for buyers? Also, have sellers noticed that more people are bidding and then not paying as they know they cant get a negative from the seller now?

Input appreciated on this. Cheers

I look at what percentage they have.

If it's anywhere below 95% I do like to have a read through the comments.

I wouldn't hesitate to order from someone with your record mate. Shit happens sometimes eh!

Yes i blocked him now. No mate, this particular buyer bought 3 items and left 3 negaitives and same happened with another buyer and left 3 neutrals fro slow delivery when he didnt bother collecting them from couriers for 3 weeks!

i always look at feedback comments but when seeing 1000 positives and 3 neg from the same person id ignore the negs as there obviously a vendetta going on there.

Anything under 95% I'll have a look at their feedback but I wouldn't be concerned about buying from someone with 99%. Don't let it wind you up.

in your case i would personally ignore it...if feedback is not 100% i have a quick check through..have you left his feedback? i saw 1 once where the seller left positive feedback for the buyer but wrote how much of a shit head he was! in capitals so for any1 looking ot would stand out

e bay is shit for sellers now ! you can actually rec a positive feedback and if the buyer doesnt click all the boxes on the detailed section it almost counts as a negative on your seller dashboard
in your case 3 consecutive negatives could be construed as feedback bombing and can be removed , just look or click on the icon "request feedback revision"in the feedback forum, it should guide you thro the process
good luck
