s1 what to look for? help plz?
hi, i may be going to look at an s1 over the weekend. what should i be looking out for? at what point should i think this is a dog & walk away or this is a bargin & snap it up?
can someone explain & posibly show with pics the diffrence between an s1 shell & s2 so i defiently know what to look at?

If it was me ad be checking things like seat fixing mounts,battery tray,bulkhead where fuse box is,front floor pan in the corners,sills,inner wings,back quarters above rear lights,boot floor, rear inner arches,pillars where the front doors mount to,chassis legs etc,roof above rear hinges,roof around sunroof if it has one,door bottoms,boot lid bottom and corners inside where the rear screen sits, just have good look over it

cheers glenn, ill be definetly be getting another rs mate, dan knows a lad with an s1 forsale that if in the right condition ill be cany interested in, failing that if focus rs's fall to 8500 ill be looking deeply into my pockets after christmas & gettin frs hopefully seems ill be moving back home then

In the main is rot and identity, many have hidden horrors and or have had floor pans replaced and so no permanent id on the shell present.
Read the above should help give you a checklist and spot anything that is amiss.
